We are proud to introduce a world first! Here is our CAD designed, 6061 billet aluminum E36 hood release latch handle.
This is an idea we have had for a while and our proud we finally executed. The OEM hood release latch is made of plastic and can break or bend over time preventing you from opening your hood easily. We wanted to create not only a pretty upgrade, but something that was stronger and more robust than the OEM alternative.
We started by taking exact measurements of the OEM handle and drawing it up in CAD. We tweaked some design features to make this handle more comfortable and robust to last a lifetime.
We then sent these off to the machine shop to be manufactured out of high quality, 6061 aircraft grade aluminum with an absolutely beautiful finish.
We are offering these handles in machined silver or anodized black. This is a great upgrade if you are replacing your broken handle or just want a high quality updated look.
Our handles are completely plug and play and can be installed with just a Phillips screwdriver in less than 1 minute.
